WEEK 7 - MAY 4 to 8 ~ FRENCH / FRANÇAIS ~

Bonjour mes amis. C'est la mois de mai et c’est la fête des mères ce dimanche.(It is May and this Sunday is Mother's Day.)

This week we will practice Possessive Adjectives, which show ownership.
The le” or “la word decides which adjective to use. This week's focus is on
"son, sa, ses", all of these mean his and her in English.

1a. ÉCRIT ~ (Writing Task)  
  • son*son for “lewords  ~ His/Her dog = Son chien (le chien)
  • sa*sa for “lawords    ~ His/Her mouse = Sa souris (la souris)
  • ses*ses for ‘pluralwords ~ His/Her cats = Ses chats (les chats)
Fill in the blank with the appropriate word using answers in the word-bank.

Please write 3 complete sentences using “Il = He  or Elle = She (instead of “Je = I”) 
   (Remember we did this in January: He wears / She wears = “Il porte / Elle porte”)
Create two of those sentences including possessive adjectives. Remember the sentences don’t have to be true but they do have to be complete.
Below are sentence-starters and examples.

3. Elle aime ses animaux, en particulier ses chats.  ~  She likes her animals, especially her cats.
4. Il veut ses serpents dans sa chambre.                 ~   He wants his snakes in his room.
