WEEK 6 - APRIL 27 to MAY 1 ~ FRENCH / FRANÇAIS

1. ÉCOUTE ~ (Listening Task) Listen to these for 5+ minutes

Positional words are prepositions, which indicate where one object is relative to another.

I have included four animal groups, which means there are a LOT of words to learn. This week, choose only one animal group to focus on and then choose a different group each week. All animal words will be part of our vocabulary focus until June. Try to practice animals you don't know.

Please try to write 5-6 complete sentences using prepositions, as many different sentence-starters as possible, while incorporating any animal words, colours, petit(e)/grand(e), and questions phrases.

J’ai trois petits chiens à côté de ma maison.   Vois-tu mes chiens? 
J’aime les renauds rouges dans la forêt! Aimes-tu les renards? 
Je veux le lapin blanc sous l'arbre.  Veux-tu un animal?

WEEK 5 - APRIL 20 to 24 FRENCH PRACTICE

1. ÉCOUTE ~ (Listening Task)
2. ÉCRIT ~ (Writing TASK): 
  • Create 3+ sentences using "C'est un(e) ___."
  • Create 3+ sentences using "Ce sont des ___."
  • Use your spring vocabulary
EXAMPLES: C'est un jonquille jaune. / Ce sont des tulipes rouges. / Vois-tu le beau papillon?
This is a yellow daffodil. / These are some red tulips. / Do you see the beautiful butterfly?

REMINDERS
  • Continue to practice how to write complete sentences.
  • Try asking questions using last week's model > "Vois-tu..? J'aimes-tu..?
  • "le" = 'the' ~ AND ~ "un" = 'a' (le papillon OR un papillon) masculin
  • "la" = 'the' ~ AND ~ "une" = 'a' (la tulipe OR une tulipe) feminin
  • Add "e" to the adjectives (describing words; colours,etc.) when used with a "la" word
  • Add "s" to the adjectives (describing words; colours,etc.) when used with plural words

Have a puppet talk ~ use these verbs in a complete sentence.

EXAMPLES: Je joue sur la pelouse. / J’ai deux fleurs. / Je vois un oeuf dans le nid.                              I play on the lawn.                /       I have two flowers.             /           I see an egg in the nest.
